What experience/specialties do you bring to HC21?
I have specialized in home health for the past 18 years. I promote and restore patients’ health by developing day-to-day management and long-term planning of the patient care needs, directing, and developing staff; collaboration with physician and multidisciplinary professional staff; providing physical and psychosocial support for patients and families. I maintain a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information; responding to requests; building rapport; participating in team problem-solving methods. I am efficient in critical thinking, assessment, wound care, trach/ventilator care, IV therapy, accessing med ports and providing the highest quality of care following nursing best practices. I keep the focus always on the care needs of the patients. What are you the most excited about working for HC21?
I have been involved with all aspects of established home health agencies and I have provided leadership to improve quality of care and patient satisfaction. I am very excited to be a part of establishing our processes and building a quality team to provide the highest quality of care for our community as we grow.
How do you exceed client expectations?
I keep the focus on the patient goals and their needs. I provide communication and encourage the patient and family members to take an active part in the plan of care from development. If concerns arise, I work for resolve immediately and discuss course of action with the patient and family. I follow up timely and monitor progress. I mentor the staff to treat each patient as they would want their family treated and cared for.
Can you tell us a little something fun about you?
I love spending time with family. I love to sit with my grandson and shares stories, make funny faces and hear his laughter. I like to go antiquing and find vintage treasures. I love to help others and make moments and memories along the journey.
