Hello, my name is Christa Benner and I have been working as a Physical Therapy Assistant for 8 years. I love working with the elderly and it brings joy when I help someone regain abilities they may have lost. Four years ago my husband, Richard, was assigned to the Pentagon and we moved from sunny Arizona to Arlington VA. However, military life has many sacrifices it also brings on new beginnings. This move proved to be a good one and I was introduced to home health. Since I have been working in home health it has opened my eyes to all the needs required for the homebound. Home health is the best opportunity I have had as a PTA.
In June 2019, Richard decided that after 34 years in the Arizona Air National Guard, with four years at the Pentagon, he would retire. As we discussed the future it became obvious that home health was the direction we would go. With both of us having aging parents with different levels of medical and mobility issues we were well aware of the needs of our parents and the sacrifices our immediate families have made to care for them. At Home Care for the 21st Century – North Tucson our motto is family. For us, home health is about the health of the entire family. Our goal is to provide first-class care, and patient engagement and to support the immediate family.
Our whole team is excited to embark on this journey.
